According to a report conducted by ManpowerGroup Solutions, workplace flexibility includes a broad spectrum of arrangements like control over when breaks are taken, full work-from-home programs, and caregiver’s leave.

The report admits that not all companies can accommodate all these options, yet it is considered as one of the biggest deciding factors for a candidate. In India, 30% of respondents said that schedule flexibility is one of the top 3 motivators in making career decisions.

In addition to it being a motivator, employees also say that work flexibility increases their productivity. Looking at the results of a survey conducted by Workfest, 78% of respondents said that work flexibility makes them more productive. A whopping 73% said that they are more satisfied with work when they have flexible work arrangements.

Lastly, another major component of work flexibility is unlimited paid time off (PTO). To quote from an article published in Business News Daily, “unlimited PTO provides an employee peace of mind that they can take a sick day”. Plus, an unlimited PTO policy marks a business as modern and employee-first.
