1. You might have to pay for better gaming on your favorite games
Driven by inflation woes and a deepening economic crisis, Apple announced price increases on its App Store back in September, effective as of October 5. Did we see this coming? Perhaps, yes. After many attempts from developers to tackle the heavy commissions, Apple’s app store has not budged. They are increasing their commissions instead. To combat the rising prices developers have no choice but to increase in-app spends by users by adding more premium/ paid features and content. 2. Uber Eats supporting the green movement in Toronto
Food delivery app Uber Eats and Leafly have joined forces with local suppliers to offer cannabis delivery in Toronto.
The companies say it’s the first-time cannabis delivery will be offered on a major third-party delivery platform.
Customers 19 years and older can place the order through the Uber Eats app, where it will be directed to one of three local cannabis retailers: Hidden Leaf, Minerva or Shivaa’s Rose. The delivery will be made by a government-certified employee who will verify the age and sobriety of the customer upon arrival.

3. New light games and app store on Discord
Discord announced a number of upgrades to its platform today, including activities where users can play casual games with each other. It has also created App Directory, a new store where users can download third-party apps.
It has also set up a $5 million ecosystem fund to invest in its app development community. The apps can easily be exposed to the monthly active user base of over 150 million people. These efforts are all part of Discord’s dedication to “building an open platform,” said Anjney Midha, vice president of platform ecosystem at Discord, in a press briefing.

4. Exclusive content for 18+ users on TikTok
The platform is aiming to graduate along with its primary user-base. And as one step towards maturity, TikTok is introducing an adults-only option for live streamers on the platform who wish to restrict their viewership to those 18 and older.
As for when and why streamers might opt to set an age limit, TikTok offered a couple of theoretical examples. “ a comedy routine is better suited for people over age 18. 5. Burger King app celebrates Halloween with new feature in select locations around the world
Burger King app adds ghost-hunting tech to catch paranormal activity around you. For a limited time, the app will have a section where visitors can scan for paranormal activity using the cameras on their smartphones. In addition, the app has an “electromagnetic field ghost detector” to aid customers in scare away the ghouls following them. To celebrate the occasion, they have also released a new burger is being added to the menu.
