RakeshDeshmukh, Co-founder, Director and CEO of Indus, is the driving force behind the company’s growth and rapid global expansion. He has an ideal blend of technical understanding and business acumen, combined with great people skills. He is a pragmatic, strategic thinker, with a lot of insights for structuring a sound strategy.
Akash handles Product and Operations at Indus. He is responsible for conceptualizing, selecting, and driving the development of products. A mobile technology expert, he has gained rich experience in the ideation, strategy and delivery of mobile devices, customized OS, applications and software solutions. Akash holds a B.Tech from IIT Bombay. He is a travel freak, a half marathoner, biker and a foodie.
Sudhir is the technology brains behind Indus. He heads product architecture, design and development - overall technology. He had studied Electronics from IIT Bombay. His entrepreneurial adventures date all the way back to his IIT days when he had interned with multiple startups and later met Rakesh & Akash when he set forth on the Indus journey. Director - Sales
Vaibhav has an experience of 14 years in sales and distribution of mobile handsets at a National level, started his career with Reliance Infocom; worked for Brightpoint India (a multinational distribution company) followed by Telemart communications. With his decade-long experience in mobile handset procurement, supply-chain management, production and sales and distribution, he is now part of the Indus Team. Overseeing launch of the product globally as Sales Director.
Vice President, Engineering
Amit heads the Engineering function including architecture, development and delivery. He has over fifteen years of experience in leading teams involved in developing products and frameworks in diverse technologies. In the past, he has held several engineering positions both in startups as well as larger organizations including Microsoft and Persistent Systems and is quite hands on even today when it comes to technology. He was one of the core team members who built Gupshup and various other products for Webaroo Inc. Having worked with both product and services based software companies, Amit strongly believes in providing simple business solutions for seemingly complex problems. Amit holds a Masters degree from IIT, Bombay.
Lakshminarayanan, CFO of Indus OS is responsible for Finance, Accounts and Compliance. A CA and PGP from Indian School of Business (ISB), he has 12 years of experience in Finance, Accounts and Strategy domain. He has worked in the Stock Exchange, Power Exchange and NBFC domain. He is a professor of Finance & Strategy, a dance enthusiast, a movie buff, likes reading and a foodie.
Senior Lead - Business Analyst
Ajit heads the analytics vertical at Indus OS. A 2010 batch graduate from IIT Kharagpur, Ajit has an overall experience of 6 years in the field of Analytics & Data Science. He has previously worked on several assignments from Pharma, Ad marketplace & Gaming Analytics domain. In his free time he likes to watch movies & enjoys the occasional trek.
Head - Design
Nikhil heads the design and user experience vertical at Indus. An alumnus of IDC - IIT Bombay with over 10 years of experience in the design and research space, he is a two-time recipient of the CII Design Excellence Award. Along with creative pursuits, he is an avid movie buff, traveller and a coffee enthusiast.
Program Director - Localization
Anand comes with a 12+ years of experience in the Localization & Learning industry. He had been an entrepreneur running a start-up for 3 years focused at developing Technology and Patient education solutions in the Life-science domain. He joins Indus to head the Language solutions Team as Program Director- Localization.
